Hi,
Crowdfunding is all about appealing to a human philanthropic nature of what individuals would be interested in supporting and most importantly it's about how you position your brand and tell the story to make it appeal to their willingness to be a part of the change that the NGO is wanting to achieve. Focusing on a human-centredness approach combined with an impactful brand positioning will be the first step. The listing should also involve various incentives for donors to participate which will utlimately drive brand loyalty and advocacy.
It's not enough to just rank on kickstarter or indiegogo, you have to attach a promotional content-led strategy behind it to drive awareness and conversions (click-throughs) to the crowdfunding pages. A content-led strategy will make use of both paid, owned and earned channels such as social media posts, social media ads, PR & Thought Leadership, Direct Marketing through existing databases, affiliate marketing partnerships, influencer marketing etc.
I have over 15 years of experience as a brand and marketing communication specialist.
Please consider my submission.
Kind regards,
Fehraad
