I am a fan of using TOAD an SQL software, so I will use it to pull the saved data by defining the required parameters and later transferring the required results where I will do an in-depth manipulation and presentation. I am a master with Microsoft Excel (data entry, formulas, formatting, conditional formatting, etc.) and with VBA programming (simple macros and complex programs) to process and format data imported or exported to/from files or directories of files in many different formats (Office, PDF, flat ASCII, CSV, SPSS, databases, etc.) to populate spreadsheets, documents, and PowerPoint templates. Often, I use Excel side-by-side with SQL, SPSS, or Unix/DOS/perl/Vim scripting languages. I worked the last 18 years in market research doing survey programming and crunching the resulting data. I have also used my skills for import/wholesale business and supporting engineering departments in a government transportation department. I believe that communication is very important to greatly reduce the chance of disappointment or the need to rework the deliverables. I will try to make sure that this is the case with your projects.
