I have worked with heating elements before and, as it happens, I had to build a heating box for a project in college, using acrylic. I will need to ask a few more details about the heating element, but unless there's many more complex things inside that box, this should be relatively simple to solve. Acrylic is a great choice of material. Bid is being placed assuming that you only need guidance, not a complete, detailed design.

Greetings, I have a simple solution. I can design a support made of a material with low heat transfer properties, that would be glued to your Carboxinator inner wall using epoxy glue. Also I can think in adding some thins to your heating device, so most of the heating energy would be transferred to the enclosed air and only a very small fraction would go to the supports.

I dealt with a similar problem before. (supporting a 3D printer heated bed and heater elements on a heating rig.) I will be able to produce a few quick CAD drawings of possible options. If you are fine with drilling through the acrylic a few small screws, nuts and repair washers should do the job. As this is one of my first jobs on the site, I will be happy to send the ideas before any kind of payment is made.

I have a couple ideas on how to support this rectangular heater, but I would like to take a look at the enclosure. Please let me know.

My proposal would be to use a laser cut stand made of birch plywood, the duration would include time for me to get one of the said heating elements in my hands to take measurements and to set up the cam files to cut it, and to cut one test unit on my laser to ensure fitment was correct. I would need to know the ctq's (critical to quality) of the project such as, how high above the "floor" of the enclosure it can be, max sustained operating temperature, mounting orientation, maximum envelope for the stand+heating element etc. I would be able to ship the final piece as well but shipping it may take a few additional days.

I worked in HVAC lab where we used to do experiment by heating air and with different condition so I have good solutions for you.

Highlights include: 1) Design & fabrication of RC Plane 2) Design & fabrication of a gasoline car with carbon fiber body 3) Modification of water pumps to work as turbines 4) Design modifications in pigtail design of reformer furnaces For your design problem, it's fairly simple. You could drill holes in the bottom acrylic sheet, use rubber seal, pass a high temperature resistant teflon support and attach heating element to it. Teflon can be replaced with metal prongs that may be surrounded by insulating materials like kaowool etc. I have other ideas too, which can be shared if I am awarded the project.
