Book cover design

I published a book 3 year ago, and I want to recreate it on Amazon with a new concept and title. The book is about trauma and how people cope with it. Since it will be on Amazon, the files should probably be compatible as a e-book/download and possibly a soft cover book but lets just focus on it being a e-book. The book is called "Bird Bones" and I want the cover to match the title. I want a bird on it's back with its wings sprawled out. It's head is turned slightly to the side, the beak facing upwards so you can see a side profile of its face but the entire thing will be bones. It's just going to be the skeleton of the bird. I'm thinking a black background or maybe wood grain but the main focal point should be the bird. I don't want it to look scary, grotesque, or morbid. The bird is supposed to be small like a sparrow, robin, swallow and innocent/dainty looking. I need at least 2 different designs, one of the bird with half it's body being made of bone and the other half of the bird disappearing almost in the wood grain. I can attach an example that is similar but not exact because I can't find an image to match what I'm envisioning 100%. The second design is similar, but I want the whole bird to be intact with just the tips of the wings and the tail to start disappearing into the wood. The story that this book is named after is about a girl who goes through something traumatic in her basement, and while she's going through this traumatic event - she looks up at the basement ceiling and thinks she sees a bird shape/outline etched in the wood. And the only way she can cope with what she went through is through the image of the bird. Similar to seeing shapes in clouds, if that makes sense.
