Adobe Acrobat Form - JavaScript work

I have a form that staff fill out. They type their name into a "signature" field (text only). I want it so that when the field is filled with data (other than null), the signature text field goes read-only, then inserts the date/time into a neighbouring field, which will also lock. Date/time must be the time of locking, not just current time of viewing the document...
