Hi You have wrong setup. I suggest setup Raid1 on two hard drive and use 3th for backup only If one of Raid1 dirve is down - you can easy replacing avoid downtimes I can assist you with this + backup

Hello Based on you hardware we could configure your system in RAID if its possible form server point of view and keep copy o the third hdd. There is few ways to configure that you need.

hello, I'm a CentOS pro sysadmin, I got a full time job working on CentOS There 2 thinks to do for your task to be done and server ready to work with full backup solution 1. is to setup RAID 1 Hard Drive 2. is to configure backup using rsync anc cron that's it !! I can provide the job 2 in a couple of hours by teamviewer, and can help you to do the first task by yourself because you need to setup your OS again to configure RAID correctly (RAID 1 is a mirroring solution, all your datas will be automatically synchronize on the second disk) If you can't do task one, I can organize a solution with a kickstart file , then you will have to send the script at bootup and the kickstart will install RAID alone (I will need few hardware details to setup the script) Contact me if my offer is interesting for you. First of all, if you want just replace 1st disk by the 2nd one, there should be mirroring (configure RAID1). Its better to do while installing the server. Then you have 2 ways for solving the problem if 1st drive fails. 1. Ask DC tech just to swap drives in the server 2. Connect KVM (in case if server dead and not starting correctly), and boot from 2nd drive. after successfull boot set 2nd drive as main

Am fluent in CentOS and the backup solution. Day 1 is to analyze and configure backup Day 2 is to check the outcome of the backup to drive 2 and fine-tune process to restore to drive 3 Day 3 is to test the restored data works in drive 3

Automating backup systems is what I do best. I use shell scripts to performs and test backups. In the past I have written a backup system using free tools for a network of 110 Linux servers I am a Red Hat Linux certified Engineer and do not play around I just do the job
