TO NOTE: **All items will be purchased and assembled locally you will be responsible for the software development only** I need consultation on my current project as witch eventually I would like to hire you to fulfill this project. The goal: is to create a sorting system to sort items and to assemble orders in a timely manner. I would like to work with the team or an individual to source me all the components needed as well as developing the software. What I need done: Arduino / PLC controlled the following task - Convener belt control - As barcode scans tote # pneumatic arm pushes tote in to shoot - When barcode is scanned for truck number it is pushed into the correct slot (Sorting) - Small HMI to program variables to be sorted at another time. Example: if I pick up a block the color is blue I enter that item number and that item is not register as blue. When that items is sent to the sorting machine it will now sorted in the blue section. TO NOTE: **All items will be purchased and assembled locally you will be responsible for the software development only** I have a attached a file with more information but as this is just a consultation and need estimations to select a developer.

Dear, I would try to make this softare. I just think that some PLC is better solution than arduino for this task. There is lot of reasons for that (safety, industrial conditions, easy to maintenance, easy to make HMI, voltage levels for other electric devices). Of course it can work with arduino, too if it is nessesery, but we will need more time, and result will be not so profesional. I have 6+ years experience with different kind of PLCs, motion control and HMI. If you decide for arduino, I have one my own for testing, etc. Of course I will have more questions about details... All the best!

Hello! I have experience programming in C / C + + for almost 20 years. Devices based on Arduino, I'm doing more than 3 years. I have experience writing applications "client-server" for the Arduino, writing applications to interface Arduino and Android, integration of Arduino and Processing. I have experience making "smart house" on the Arduino (arduino, php, javascript, AJAX, JSON). More, I have experience in: - making hydroponics installations on Arduino - the control system with LED lights for plants light - equipment for the reality-show "Treasure Rom" - Access Control Systems for printing equipment with RFID I am ready to write a program for Arduino and provide a complete description of the device. But really - I need a more detailed description of the job. I also have a few questions, one of them - will it be used barcode scanner, or scanner of RFID tags?

Hi, I read the description and still I have doubts. I assume you have repository of goods stacked and based on order, you want to push the items so that it will get packed. Assembly line like this can be designed based on actual products and how it is stacked etc. Based on physical property of the object, we can design how similar goods can be stacked (horizontally or vertically) and how different goods can be arranged. So let me know more information about the goods type and how many different goods are present. Thanks!

Hi, I am Laszlo Benke, from Hungary. I am an electrical engineer. I work as a C# and PLC developer. We make home building automation systems and RFID system too. I can recommend you the raspberry PI for this purpose, but I know the Beckhoff PLC as well (this would be good too). My Raspberry PI idea: - There are many GPIO for conveyor controlling. - There is a touch screen (3.5") that you can use for manual control and check the status. - I know a professional rfid system that can connect to Raspberry PI. I have know cheap barcode scanner, but I know not to difficult to implement a software for that. Raspberry PI + Touch screen costs ca. $100 Beckhoff PLC + Touch screen costs ca $500-700 If you want to use only arduino, then I can do with that. I have not done any pneumatic controlling, but I know a person in Beckhoff, who can help me with this. Do you think the pneumatic controlling would be complicated (the specificiation, not the development)? Do you have any questions? Best regards, Laszlo Benke
