If you want the functionality built into the existing Access database, I can do that by including a VBA function. If you want a freestanding utility which connects to the Access database, I can do that by supplying a separate Access database which connects to the database provided go read the Games table. Hello there, I have worked on many access and excel automation projects with vba and python. I couldn't find the image you have attached but according to your description I think I understood your requirement and I can create a script or macro to read the access database and do the renaming tasks you want. I can create this either with python or vba. 1. If done with python, it will be a commandline script which you have to point to the access database and the folder paths. 2. If done with vba, I'll create an access GUI form, which you can select the access database and the folder paths with a windows graphical form and process them. To test it I'll need to have a sample access database and the corresponding folder structure. And let me know any other details you need me to know on creating this. (May be send the image I missed). This utility can be developed in Access, or in Excel, both with VBA programming and it will be great, because I have already developed applications that accessed files and manipulated them in a similar way to the one you described. I can do this utilizing the ms access file itself utilizing vba. so it acts as both the database and the file renaming utility. It should be fairly fast, effective and most important easy (just one button click). It should take a day or so. However, kindly note the image is not attached. I shall need the image, the sample ms access database, and two compressed files each contain the target folder with some sample images in it (not all of the 30,000 image). Also, if you have certain fixed path for the two folders in mind kindly share it in text.
