Please do not bid if you have no experience in android video player development. We require someone who knows what they are doing in this field.
We are developing an app for a company and would like to hire some help to create a video player component.
Requirements:
Play MKV video files streamed over HTTP
Video encoding: h264, audio encoding: AAC (stereo) and AC3 (5.1)
Use device hardware acceleration to handle 1080p video
Must play well on Rockchip, Allwinner and AMLogic chipsets.
Player must detect the embedded audio and subtitles, and allow the user to switch seamlessly.
Subtitles are embedded in VobSub (.idx/.sub) graphical format, player must display these with correct presentation, position and timing.
Player must output AC3 5.1 sound when available
Player must be able to seek at any point in the video that is not yet cached, using HTTP range requests
IMPORTANT! Do not use Vitamio libraries, we have tried this and the results are inadequate.
References: For functionality and performance, please try MX Player and BS Player
Full source code will be required, for our developers to further customize and integrate into the rest of the app.

Hi, I've worked with Video Player for Android and FFmpeg. I propose to do this with FFmpeg and agree to "No cure - no pay" philosophy. Let me know if you are interested...
