Sounds like you have a challenge on your hands. I am willing to work with you to solve it. I would like to get some more information about the project. You mentioned that you can't use a mouse on this current database, can it be remotely connected? I don't want to waste your time, but would like to help you if I can. I have a lot of experience working with databases, and really don't ever give up unless there is smoke coming out of the server (we will try to avoid that here :D). Hi, I have been working with dBase and its derivatives since 1983. I can use Visual FoxPro (yes, it's still around and I have a *REGISTERED* copy of the last version) to natively read dBase IV tables. I can convert all those tables to an Access or MySQL database with quick turnaround. As an intermediate step I can also provide you with .CSV files for all the tables and some documentation on whatever indexing scheme they've used. xBase languages are big on using indexes and relations for parent/child tables, and they will give good clues as to how the screens could be developed. I can see this project working very easily into an Access database. MySQL/PHP on a browser-based system is also very doable, although it would probably require more development time. Either way, you would 100% own the source code and any other materials I produced in the development process. If there is any dBase IV code lying around and you need entry/maintenance screens done, I can use it to create the necessary panels in the new system. Is this fish stock inventory for a pet shop, a hatchery, a seafood market...? -Lennie
