script to map data between tables

We need a perl program that can map data between different tables in different MySQL databases. The program should run via command line like (for example): Data_mapper --conffile ./[login to view URL] and should configurable via a configuration file. It should be possible to specify a regular expression for each mapping, to give a possibility for a simple data transformation. The configuration file should be human readable and should contain information similar to the following example: dbfrom=mydatabase_from dbfrom_host=localhost dbfrom_pwd=from_pwd dbto=mydatabase_to dbto_host=to_host dbto_pwd=to_pwd dbfrom_query=”Select userid,name,phone from mytable where name like ‘h%’” table_to=name_of_the_table key userid->peopleid s/(.*),/$1/ map name->username tr/[a-z]/[A-Z]/ map phone->telefon s/D//g it should be possible to state several mapping within one configuration file. The format of the configuration file can be chosen freely, as long as the functionality stays.
