The fundamental goal of this project will be to replicate the "Object" based database management paradigm found in [login to view URL], in addition to creating a visually appealing flash front end capable of modifying configuration, displaying records, creating/viewing/editing reports and dashboards (including the charting... using the Flex API) in a near identical way to [login to view URL] (including the use of tabs, to present objects). The system would be comprised of 3 parts: 1.) The data layer, containing object definitions (standard tables and columns), permissions tables (users, roles, read/write/visibility definition for individual fields). We would also store configuration information here for time based and event based triggers, as well as links to iFrame based applications (where urls like "[login to view URL]{[login to view URL]}" would translate in the presentation layer), as well as tasks assigned to users. Note an important bit of functionality has to do with the foreign key relationship between Objects (which for example would allow us to define a Task object w/ a 1:1 mapping back to a User). 2.) The logical middle layer (effectively the web service layer) which responds to request to manipulate objects, find and return results based on criteria and permissions, and performs configuration changes (assuming proper permission) to objects, users, triggers, etc... 3.) The presentation layer (Flash based) would take the data from the web service and would present it appropriately. Implementation wise this interface should be identical, in terms of functionality, to what is found in [login to view URL] (for presentation, configuration, and creation of Objects, Page Views, Reports, Dashboards, Tabs, SControls, and the front loading page) I would strongly encourage anyone bidding on the project to create a developer account on [login to view URL] and play around with the interface, prior to bidding, to get a sense for the scope of this project.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
The database will need to be MySQL based. Ideally the backend platform will be a Java based XML web service, however bids on PHP implementations would also be considered. The front end system will be Adobe Flex 2+ or AJAX based and will use some secure form of XML data passing to move the data from the web service to the presentation layer.
