We need a plugin that allows a website visitor to register themselves. They can then create numerous markers that will appear on a Google map on the homepage. When registering a marker they will be able to choose a unique name, biog, gender, the group (1 of 4) they would like it to belong to & upload a profile picture. All of this information will be displayed when a user hovers over the current markers location on the map.
When registering a marker the user is given a unique code that they will need to remember. The location of the markers can then be updated by other users by filling out a simple form (the markers unique code and their postcode).
The distance between all the previous postcodes can be added up to display the markers overall distance along with the other information when the mouse hovers over the marker.
All the data from the markers journey can be displayed in a simple 'scoreboard' on the home page. e.g. the marker that travelled the furthest, the marker that has been travelling for the longest, the marker that has had the most postcodes registered to it, the group with the greatest number of markers.
Finally, on a separate page (other than the home page) a map is displayed with a function that will allow a visitor to search for a specific marker by it's name (not it's code) and display it's current location.
