INTRODUCTION: This project is ideal for new multi-skilled programmers / teams (design and development required) wishing to prove themselves. Budget is $350, but you can have a footer text link to your website or email address on the bottom of all pages. I will be promoting this site heavily, so in turn this should help to promote you. THE PROJECT: I need a CV writing site identical in functionality and way of working as [login to view URL] but looking cleaner, crisper and less cluttered in design. I like clean, simple, WC3-compliant sites. One of my previous sites - [login to view URL] My site should have all the same features as [login to view URL], such as registering / signing in and building the CV stage by stage online, and include the ability to download the finished CV as either a [login to view URL], or an Acrobat .pdf (user selects which). Also required is the ability to preview CV as it is built, and ability to host a html version of the CV, on the CV site domain, at [login to view URL] Unregistered users can have a free demo of building a CV online, BUT will not have the ability to save or publish, UNLESS they proceed to register for an account and pay for the service via PayPal. Site should look much more modern and fresh than [login to view URL], with better presentation. the look and feel of the site is very very important, as is the ease of use. A user should know what to do almost immediately upon entering the site. Please note - I require someone with good design skills (who appreciates simple but effective design) as well as being a skilled developer. I do not want a site that looks like a template site under any circumstances. I also DO NOT want what looks like a ripped off / carbon copy version of [login to view URL] - feel free to make your own recommendations during the project. Key user functionality: - Registration, with payment by PayPal - Log in to use site functionality, and begin/edit/continue with exisiting CV (stage by stage job - see handsoncv) - Develop, publish, download, and print your CV as a Microsoft Word .doc or Adobe Acrobat .pdf - Get your own web address and web page that displays your CV - Standard job application/cover letters available to download - Unlimited updates to your CV - 1 full year of access (so time limit required), with option to continue / pay for another year emailed to user one week before account is closed (link to page where user can pay for further year) Key admin functionality (passworded admin area): - Ability to view total number of signups/current signups/expired signups - Ability view these signups by year/month of that year or all months of that year/week of that month or all weeks of that month - Ability to view total payments received (£GBP) - Ability to view payments by year/month of that year or all months of that year/week of that month or all weeks of that month(£GBP) - Ability to view number of logins per year/month of that year or all months of that year/week of that month or all weeks of that month - Ability to view total number of published cv's and total cv microsites - Ability to view all/current/expired usernames, email addresses, date signed up, date of membership expiry and cv microsite URL's (clickable) in a simple table format - and ability to view this data as total, or by year/month/week/day - Ability to send simple text emails to ALL users - Ability to suspend/unsuspend a specified user, including suspending/unsuspending their cv microsite - Ability to upload/delete 'cv job application/cover letters' to membership area - Closed accounts (e.g. after one year when no new payment is made) purged / deleted Note: A cv microsite is a hmtl version of a user's cv, available on the main website address at [login to view URL] This site needs to be delivered bug-free and thoroughly tested (found bugs should be fixed for no cost). The site should be developed to sit on Linux (cpanel setup) with php/mysql etc, without requiring any additional server configurations (i.e. making the site easily portable, if required). This site should also conform to WC3 Priority 1 accessibility guidelines - [login to view URL] It is expected that all web developers should be aware of these guidelines, and most of you will already be following them without even realising :) Project stages: 1) Link to 2 or 3 homepage design concepts emailed to me 2) After design is signed off by me, all other pages are designed and populated (I will email page content) 3) After all pages are signed off, the back-end development should begin 4) I sign off finished site, or amendments are made and site then signed off 5) Finished site undergoes testing by developer, then client (me), with bugs fixed as necessary 5) Escrow payment is released, and site is uploaded to my server, and tested on my server by developer 6) Any found bugs are fixed if found IMPORTANT: BUDGET IS AN ISSUE HERE - MAX.
