Simple Script to Process server log file (only 404 errors)

Hi, We have a basic requirement. We have a site hosted on a CPanel host, but they only have Webalizer installed. We need similar stats that AWStats would give to display the 404 errors that AWStats displays. So we need to be able to take the raw log files available on CPanel and feed this into a script to process the data and display the 404 errors only (and ignore everything else). Its a very basic job. We don't really mind if its coded to run as a web page on a server or if its a client based application. As long as we can attach the log file and it can read the required data and provide all the 404 error messages found. We are not talking about just standard 404 error messages that a website visitor would see if a page did not exist. We are also talking about file calls in a web pages where those files don't exist. AWStats show us this level of data so the script of program you write needs to provide the basic report that AWStats would give. Given the simply nature of this job, don't bother bidding if you want to bid above $30.00 - we will find another way to do what we want otherwise.
