Overview: This is an event posting web site. Different University groups would post their upcoming events on this site. There would be a log-in for viewers and a log-in for group/businesses to post events. Text link and rotating banner ads would be available to groups/businesses, but for a fee. Viewers: When a viewer logs in, it will take them to the main page of the school they chose upon registering (school can be changed in an edit profile section). Registration consists of email address, password, school of choice and quick link schools (up to 5). Viewer can have up to 4 quick links (can also be changed in the edit profile section). These links that will take them to a specific school or group postings from that school without having to search or go through drop down menus. Viewers will also receive event posted emails from the group(s) they select from any particular university. Poster: Poster registration consists of email, password, and choice between school group or business. If school group is chosen, they will choose their particular university. To complete log-in. Once logged in they will add the name of the group they are affiliated with if group is not listed already. If business is chosen, they will just enter their business name. Once logged in, they will be taken to a selection screen in which they will have the option to post an event (free) or a banner ad (fee based). Once the event has been typed, the event will be posted under the group they created earlier. Poster can also email html based event fliers to university groups of their choice (fee based on number of groups selected to receive email). Poster can chose to mark their event as a featured event. For a small fee, their event will be posted on the main school page of viewers' log-in to be seen first before they look at other events. Businesses will have the option to post a banner ad as well and an event. But their main feature will be a text ad link to their particular business (fee based). Marketing: Text links with logo's for businesses. Multi-tier banner advertisements. Poster can chose to have their banner displayed on several different school pages or just one page for a range of fee's. Poster can upgrade their event to a feature event for a small fee ($10) Admin: Can ad and delete events at anytime. Can set prices for marketing aspect of site. Can send mass emails to any group or school. Can post banner ad's and fixed text links at anytime for any location. Can ad and delete schools and school groups Overall, it is just like an employment website. An employer would post their job under a specific category to be found in searches. An email will be sent out to jobseekers who signed up for that specific category with the job listed in the email. and so on and so forth. I have an employment script that does just about the same shell features but needs to be tailored to the specifics of this site. I also have a template of what the site will look like.
