I have expertise with Google's Cloud Platform (GCP) and I can effectively leverage its server-less features to create a Shopify App that will meet your requirements. My plan is to leverage firebase hosting and cloud functions (running on a node.js backend). Cloud functions are a server-less solution where a developer can deploy a node.js app to google's cloud platform. Such apps can serve as API/webhook endpoints that can receive event notifications from a Shopify account - such as when a product is sold, -and perform actions on the JSON payload sent with said event. Node.js supports a number of libraries that I can use to transform a JSON payload to XML and send that data over FTP. This is but one of many ways in which your application can be built.
