Hi! We are looking for a skilled freelancer who can design and build a shopping aggregator website similar to [login to view URL] Scope of work: We need both the front end and the backend! The design should be a flat UI style. Programming should include a scalable database structure. The code needs to be light and quick when performing a product search among 1000's of products. Will need Search engine optimized URLs. Please send me a study of which techniques you are planning to use in detail as well. We are thinking of using the following software Shopping engine: - Integrate several eCommerce websites - we will need to create a data scraper for these. - Integrate affiliate API's (Shareasale, Shopify) or data feeds from affiliates -Capability to select products (refine by price/color/brand/size/store/sale etc.) from total product catalog -Top-level categories: Make-up, Skin, Hair, Body -Rank by Price (low-high, high-low, brand alphabetic, most viewed) Product Balloon Functions User Functions -Sign-up for newsletter Future: Login function with facebook, gmail or email Create own dashboard. -Wish lists / Favorites / Other lists -Sales alerts Some of the software we are thinking of using. - MongoDB - Kimonolabs - to create API/data scraping - import, io - to create API/data scrapping - ruby rails - PHP - WordPress Important information: 1. Hi We are a team based in Greenwich, London with over 9 years experience building websites for our clients. Our clients range from ASOS through to Elemis. From reading your brief then I would say that either Shopify or Wordpress Woo-Commerce are the best routes to use. • Data scraping, inclusive of products you wish to sell on your site (which are found a third party site) can be controlled through apps/plug-ins. • The same is used for affiliates where you can grant access for them to sell on the site too (This is completely subject to your business model). • Allowing user to select products (refine by price/colour/brand/size/store/sale etc.) is completely standard and can be controlled through custom fields). • Top-level categories is just a custom design where categories can be fetched to make a front line appearance on the home page and then again used for marketing goals. • Rank by Price (low-high, high-low, brand alphabetic, most viewed) is again produced by custom fields where search criteria can be expanded to suit your business needs. All other functions which you have asked for are standard e-commerce requirements: Newsletter, Login, Wish lists, Sales alerts. It would be ideal if we could have a chat so that we can understand any further business goals.
