Hello, I have developed 2 messaging plugins for wordpress. They are not exactly like the one you describe but they can be adjusted to fit your needs. If you are interested, I'll setup an AWS instance to demo them for you. Some details about them: The first one is a simple system that allows the admin to notify users about certain events using clickable popups. The 2nd one is a pseudo real time (uses polling not websockets) chat system in which users ask questions and the admin can answer them. EDIT: I can easily make a custom plugin for you in a couple of days to fit your needs exactly, the plugins i mention prove i have the experience necessary to make it happen fast.

We have created multiple messaging systems which are integrated in applications ranging from CRM , SFA to ERP's. We will isolate the module and have it as its own application for you with your desired theme (as per the project description that you provided). Kindly let us know the features that you require e.g. One on One chat, multiple chatrooms, types of users. What is the purpose (will it be inter-organizational / public) and will it be integrated into any other application or website?. Please note that the application we will deliver will be in PHP.
