Hello! I saw your post, and it is intriguing to me. My son is 18, and I bought him a tattoo gun about 5 years ago, and it really influenced him to go into the arts. I don't have any tattoos myself (yet), but I really appreciate the science and technology. You can review my resume, and you will see I have no experience in tattoo inks (other than having commercial tat inks and a couple of guns in our home shop, and having tattooed hundreds of citrus fruits and a few pig skins.) But I can definitely do this for you if it is possible. I absolutely LOVE researching chemical processes, and have pioneered a few myself.
