Re-implement two existing perl socket scripts in Vala

Re-write these two Perl programs in Vala 0.16.x, re-implementing exactly the same functionality: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] For the server, the Vala code should use glib add_watch/remove functions, rather than the gtk2 ones. The programs are a bidirectional socket communications client and server, respectively. They can be used to test each other. The server can support multiple bi-directional connections, and also support broadcast messages to all connected clients. Those features must be preserved and tested. Vala is set up to use threads, rather than Perl-style forks. The new code will need to reflect that. The part where the server echoes the input back to the client should be encapsulated in a simple Vala class called "Parser", in a method called "simple_echo". (The parser will be expanded in the future, of course).
