Project : New Business Modernization Client : Manulife Financial, Canada Duration : Feb 2015 – Till Date Team Size : 6 Role : Project Lead Environment : C#, ASP.NET, BizTalk server 2013, XML, Visual Studio 2012, Team Foundation Server, Host Integration Server 2013, SQL Server 2012 Description: New business vitality is an initiative from Manulife to reduce the incidence of Not-In-Good-Order application received for insurance forms. So this initiative ensures the below improvements: 1. Reduced handling of outstanding information. 2. Reduction in cycle time. 3. Stream lined process, improved client and advisor experiences. There are two phases of this initiative: 1. Remove the duplicated from NBN notification and stop sending the different medical requirements to NBN. 2. Advisor will enter the cases for all insurance products in IGO (online application) and that case will import into AWD (imaging system), in mainframe using HIS, in Arrow through web service. This project has these following areas of development: o Communicate with Mainframe application using HIS o Prepare the input XML for Arrow and send through off-ramp service. o Prepare the NBN input XML and send the XML through WCF service using Basic-Http adapter. o Prepare the intermediate schema and use the templates to communicate with Mainframe through HIS. o Generate new policy number while importing the new case from IGO to Arrow. So Service bus leverages the BizTalk infrastructure to be able to communicate with wide variety of systems like: o Web Services o SQL o Host Integration Server This project has following tasks involved.  ESB Enhancement  Developments of Code service, orchestration, custom XSLT for mapping  Import copy book from Mainframe and build HIS configuration  ESB builds preparation and deployment into different (Prod \ non-prod) regions.
