Finalizing LDAP-Granted Pentaho Administrative Access on Ubuntu Pentaho Installation in Active Directory Environment

We have set up our Pentaho Biserver-ce5.3 on an Ubuntu server to use LDAP authentication, connecting to our company's Microsoft Active Directory. We have added a Pentaho Admins group that has the Pentaho Admin domain account as a member; and, we also have a Pentaho Users group that has all the other Pentaho users' domain accounts as members. And thus, the admin to the Pentaho BI server is not granted the administration access. We have been looking carefully online for solutions without success and need someone to assist our systems administrator and developer in completing the LDAP configuration for this tool.
