Looking for a local/local-ish videographer (to the Southbury, CT area) to record/edit/create several short videos. Not foreseeing the need for *major* lighting set-ups, boom mics, etc., nor the need for heavy graphics or b-roll.
We are a franchised company, with our headquarters here in Southbury, CT. We have 150 or so franchisees across the US and Canada, who are home-based Career Coaches. Our coaches work with people who (often) are tired of the corporate rat race, the downsizing/rightsizing/capsizing cycle, and who may have had the entrepreneurial itch or desire to be self-sufficient, but don't know if business ownership is possible, or right, for them. Our coaches, using our 35-year-old coaching methodology, work with clients to help them articulate their goals, needs and expectations - i.e. what they want more of, and less of, in their future careers. Through a guided journey of exploration and discovery, many of our clients reach a point of clarity in terms of which direction is best for them. While many (most!) of our clients ultimately don't move into business ownership, the vast majority find great value in the safe space (to explore, ask questions, research, etc.) that our coaches create.
Looking for a videographer with experience, but we're not looking for a Hollywood blockbuster here. Our founder and visionary, Terry Powell, does a great job when interacting with trainees at classes we hold in Southbury - but there are times he's not available for a given class, and we want to capture his magic / essence to be able to show the videos when and where they make sense. Also, we've signed up with a learning management platform, and will be building courses / modules, so the deliverable must (also) include formats compatible with that vendor (MP4).
We have a list of about 40 topics - this would be the maximum number of videos - but may end up consolidating/combining similar topics. The number would be no less than 20, and we're envisioning appx. 5-minute videos each. We think a variety of formats - i.e. Terry talking to the camera, Terry video's while presenting to a class, Terry being interviewed - may add some nice variety to the mix, but we're definitely open to creative input here. We would script the content. We have space where a backdrop could be set-up, and there is ample room in our training area for a videographer to set up / record....i.e. no need for offsite / studio space.
We would envision the videos taking place over a number of partial-day shoots, hence the desire for someone who is close by to us.
Exact budget TBD by scope of the project, whether we can use our location for filming, and the number of videos we settle on / zero in on.
