I am a native English-speaking American and I have a B.A. degree in Broadcasting. I worked for 5 years as a radio On-air Talent, and have been working as a freelance voice talent here in Beijing for 3 years. I have done everything from recording material for English language learning courses, to doing voiceover work for China Central Television documentary videos, as well as promos and commercials for various other companies in China. I have excellent verbal skills and speak with a Standard American Accent(neutral). I can alter the speed and intonation of my voice to suit any project need. Hello I am currentley employed full time as a teacher of 3-4 year olds who are learning English as a second language. ( i also have 2 children of my own age 2 and 4 respectivley) My job requires me to read stories and narrate to children and also to read flashcards in a clear and easy to understand voice, tone and manner. I have been doing this job for about 4 years. My second job, is as a Freelance Producer, the productions have no relation to this job. HOWEVER, i am fully equipped at my home with industry standard recording tools such as, an AKG vocal condenser microphone, Avid audio interface, Mac OSX 10.9 and Pro tools. I will provide vocal samples on request. I have what io would describe as a "BBC British English" voice that i have trained over the last 4 years to be very clear and easy for young children learning English as a secondary language to understand. I can provide labeled wav. files and annotations. I can provide a silent background and understand the quality needed for the vocal recordings very well, because i have used hundereds of similar learning materials, over the last 4 years. Speech and Diction studies where mandatory in Preparatory School, moreover I have independently studied these subjects more in-depth via Performing Arts classes and self-directed study.
