I am a qualified town planner and a registered GIS Professional with 25 years experience in the respective fields. My focus is on GIS services, Cartography, Land Use Planning, Spatial Planning and the built environment. I work in ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
Before freelancing I used to manage the GIS Section for Cartography and GeoSpatial Analysis in the City Planning Department. The main responsibility was maintaining the electronic Land Use Scheme of more than 600 000 properties (zonings etc) for a metropolitan municipality in the business hub of Gauteng in South Africa. Other functions included managing cross-departmental GIS projects for the Council.
