I am a recently graduated student wishing to port my project from a Visual Studio C++ environment to an OSX Cocoa based environment. Most of the code is my own, and I have been able to re-create most of the functionality (work in progress), however I have used a 3rd party .dll to? communicate? with an Atmel? micro controller, and there is no mention of how these devices could be used under OSX that I could find on the internet. To complete the project I need a way of enumerating and? communicating? with an AT90USB128* type device.? I am looking for a coder who has experience working with Atmel's ATMEGA microcontrollers. I would like to do the project in phases, starting off simple then adding complexity as we go along. First task would be to simply use one of the A/D inputs, apply some correction and output the data to a DAC (MCP4921) using the SPI interface. Next phase would involve looking at a low frequency sine wave, finding the high and low and outputting the median value. Other phases of the project may involve some level shifting of the input signal, and implementation of PID control and LCD display. Bidders MUST have Atmel AVR experience and development boards. The budget will be by phases and will increase as complexity warrants.

An unusual project this.. As a group of new media atists, we make very large sculptures, usually in public spaces. A few years ago, a high profile client commissioned us to make a sculpture for them. Each element of the sculpture uses embedded Atmel (Atmega 8) processors to control motors and other feedback mechanisms. This routine will be a software communication routine that needs to transfer a 16 byte hex string from the windows based PC via it's Parallel Port To The Atmega128.
