The current project is an embedded device using an Atmel AVR MCU (ATMega32). The application has already been written in a subset of Visual Basic and is fully functional. We would like to port the application directly to AVR assembly in order to reduce manufacturing costs. The application is relatively small, consisting of approximately 550 lines of commented VB code. hi i need to program a atmel 2313 chip, i have the first part done, as can be seen in the example then need to add the extra code to stabilise the output at 12V across the required input range, by measuring the output voltage with the comparator and pot, and adjusting the pulse width to compensate - standard negative feedback stuff. You'll need to add a deadband to the code, to make sure that the feedback loop is stable. The deadband will need some experimentation, or lots of maths. It needs to be wide enough to keep the thing stable and narrow enough to adjust the output quite quickly when the pot setting is changed. Overview of the project: We have bought several units of a customer LCD display. The display unit is HD44780 compatible and is governed by a daughter board that interfaces between a serial port of a PC compatible computer. I'm trying to write a code that does the same as FunProm ( Program a microcontroller Atmel AT90S8515 ) using LPT port and a Funcard Programmer. The user will select an *.HEX file, an *.HEX file for internal EEprom and an *.HEX file for external EEprom. After a button is pushed the software will start to program the atmel microcontroller. What i really need is the code for that in Visual Basic I think that it must use DlPortIO. I have written a small embedded application using Two (2) Atmel AT90S2313 chips, and would like to redo the project, and hopefully replace both of these cpu's with a single PIC. I used the Atmel chips with a Basic Compiler, because I didn't know how to make a PIC communicate at the odd communications settings I need. I need to transmit on TWO DIFFERENT PINS, and receive ON TWO DIFFERENT PINS using: 38400 baud,Odd parity,8 data bits, 1 stop bit. The application itself is very simple, and wouldn't amount to more than 50 or 75 lines of code. If someone has experience making a PIC communicate at the above comm settings, the rest is easy.
