Collecting data from the game Lost Planet : Extreme Condition (PS3) – Phase 1 of the Project This project is for personal purpose for a video game called "Lost Planet : Extreme Condition" playable online on PlayStation 3 (PS3) System. This actual submission only focus on the phase 1 of the full project. The project requires great skills in Video Games Programming, specifically for the PS3 Console System that could require a PS3 SDK, it will also require to use a PS3 Console or a PS3 emulator, the Lost Planet : Extreme Condition Game Version playable on PS3 and the XSI (Autodisk Softimage) accessible with the Softimage XSI Mod Tool. The language used by Softimage XSI Mod Tool are : C#, Python, VBScript, JScript and C++ for SDK. Both, the PS3 SDK and the Softimage XSI Mod Tool are free online. Task – Taking pictures of the 16 different online maps from a "top-down" view : The developer will need to take pictures / captures of 16 different online maps from a "top-down" view (god view / bird view) in their entirety. The majority of the 16 maps require multiples pictures to cover entirely the different area of the map, since there are multiples floors levels for each map. Each picture must keep the same frame of the map’s sides, thus the developer doesn’t must zoom-in to being able to see through the floors levels. If there is some area (floors levels) that aren't covered by any pictures provided, I must be able to communicate with the developer to ask to take a picture for this area in the same way the other pictures were taken. Each picture must be taken having the north ("N") on the same side of the image. There is a compass tool, included in the game, that help to recognize the north direction. These captures will be used by me to let me plan how each map would be edited for the phase 2 of the project that will come in the future. The 16 different online maps from Lost Planet : Extreme Condition : If possible, take the pictures on empty / virgin maps that doesn't have weapons (infantry weapons and grenades in yellow and Mechas (called Vital Suits, shorted VSs) in cyan), Data Posts (orange posts used as radar) and "Thermal Energy Generator" (their names are commonly unknow, but they emit orange lights in circle). If it's not possible to take the pictures on empty / virgin maps, please, take pictures on these specific ideals "Layouts" (see the document "Phase 1 of the Project" for more details).
