My company wants to build a number of firewall products and our preliminar research suggests that Windows Packet Filter would be appropriate for WIndows 2008+ OSs. We want to develop a wrapper/driver for this project that would enable us to, for example, auto block IPs that are using brute force log on methods. The application would be developed using Visual Studio C# and/or VB and would run as a service in many of our proposed applications. At this stage we would like to hire suitably knowledgeable programmers to develop a specification for the project. If we can achieve what we want our expectation is for this person to also develop the components in a subsequent project.

Hi, I worked earlier with WFP and have a simple code that blocks or allows certain IPs. Can you tell me do you want to have packet inspection or just simple IP blocking?
