Job Title: Database Administrator
Job Description:
We are a remittance company based in Australia. We are building our remittance system now. A team is already working on the project. I am looking for a DBA who has extensive knowledge of different database systems. It the responsibilities start with reviewing current architecture. It includes reviewing current architecture and evaluating its capabilities and its scalability. If require prepare database architecture and guide the current team on building it.
Key Responsibilities:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining databases
Optimizing database performance and troubleshooting issues
Ensuring the security and integrity of the databases
Backing up and restoring databases
Creating and maintaining documentation for databases
Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the security and availability of the databases
Collaborating with developers and other stakeholders to design and implement new systems and applications
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a DBA
Strong experience with database management systems such as MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.
Strong experience with database administration tasks such as backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, and disaster recovery
Strong experience with SQL and database scripting
Strong experience with Linux or Windows server administration
Strong experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus
Certifications in database management systems are a plus
