Help me complete some line of codes

Am a beginner in ASP.NET c sharp, and i am working on a project . I have a line of code i needed to complete and i need an experience developer to handle that line of code. i will still need to work with the developer later to handle other areas, but for now there is some line of codes i want a developer to help complete. I have a page that has a datalist showing users posts, every post has an icon which a user clicks, it pops up a modal, inside the modal there is three icons that the use will select, if the user selects book for example it will appear on the datalist replacing the default one, i have created the codes to insert the users icon choice into database, here is the challenge. When i refresh the page the user icon selected on datalist disappears leaving the default icon. So need to write the loop in the load event to check the inserted icon name then displays it on page. If you need the code i can send it.
