Hi! I am a designer with over 9 years of experience and am well-versed in Adobe InDesign. I am also a bilingual (English/Hindi) so, I don't believe language would be a barrier when it comes to the tutoring. I do believe I will be able to teach your Aunt and tell her all the ins and outs of InDesign that she needs. Date and time will be no barrier for me although I'd prefer that before I start tutoring her, we could make a list of topics that we might need to cover. You did provide a couple of examples but a full list will make sure the instruction has a direction and we help her as much as is possible in the short time. If you want, I can make and send short exercise files of all these topics beforehand so that she can practice and practically try out the instructions. During the tutoring, I will guide her on how to do certain things and also allow her time to try it out herself. Additionally, I will be willing to provide her with an hour or so long follow up in a couple of days in case she needs any further help or clarification. Hello. I have used Adobe InDesign since almost its appearance on the market and also worked in professional environments with it (I worked for several of the best daily national newspapers). I think I am one of your best bets ;) Let's do this.

I have worked in publishing for about 25 years for a few of the big publishing companies (Macmillan, Pearson, Wiley) and I am now a full time freelancer. At Wiley I was a senior design and page layout specialist and in that roll I designed templates and samples for many of our series such as Frommer’s travel guides and the For Dummies books. I trained staff frequently on layout. When I started in the publishing business we used mainly Pagemaker and Quark but when my company decided to switch to InDesign I took it upon myself to learn it. I even created a tutorial for a freelance job for the basics of InDesign. I have the right kind of experience you need and I am very patient and I think I’m good at explaining things that are easy to understand. I love InDesign and I’d love to help. I have a suggestion to split the training up over several days to give time to practice and have questions ready for the next session.
