We are looking for a Linux programmer to help us with a Synology NAS task scheduler. The task scheduler should be able to run a script on a daily basis. We require someone with experience in Linux (synology dsm 7.1). Synology NAS boxes have their own task scheduler that accepts scripts.
We simply need a script to scan the entire volume "homes" directory for a date string with today's date and if files have the matching date within their filename, it's copied to multiple other folders.
We haver a script that deletes files in this way daily if you need to look at it.
Good afternoon,
I work with NAS Synology devices daily and currently have offsite backup implementations and solutions setup for ~25 clients. We have created various scripts and automated many functions using the Scheduling tool just as you described. With my experience and familiarity with the tools I expect we should be able to have a quick turnaround for the script that you need.
If you are interested please feel free to message me and we can get things moving on this right away.
Thanks,
Justin

Hey bud
Certainly! I can help you create a script to scan the "homes" directory on your Synology NAS for files with today's date in their filename and copy them to multiple other folders
I will just Create a new file using your preferred text editor and paste the script into it.
I will Modify the SOURCE_DIR variable to the path of your "homes" directory.
Finally I will Modify the DESTINATION_DIRS array to include the paths of your desired destination directories.
