I recently finished my fourth year of undergraduate electrical engineering at Carleton U and am currently working on an internship which involves the wireless transfer of solar power captured from solar panels. I have therefore done a lot of research on various types of transmitter, receiver and transceiver systems and am currently in the process of choosing one set for my own project in the internship. With more details on requirements of the project (like power consumption, gain, frequency of operation, etc.) and details on exactly how long this will take I will determine for sure whether or not I can complete this project. But I have a complete understanding of how to do a project like this.

Hi, I have worked on similar project where temperature from remote temperature sensor is displayed on local internet site and remotely setting the threshold value for relay cut-off based on temperature reading. This project is very much similar to that and we can easily create Android client for the display and control. Thanks!

Let me know if I undersand well the work. This project will have 2 parts: HUB+Controller The HUB is an app for an Android Table. The Controller is the one how will receive orders from the HUB. The controller will have then: 1.- Wifi Module (This can be done with an esp8266 wifi Module) that have an api that can be accessed by the HUB App 2.- A temperature sensor attached to it. It is clear that the temperature in a room it's not the same then we can think on using stand alone temperature sensors distributed in the room that communicate with the Controller. We need to define the details of this part and research for the technology and modules availables. Them can be a combination of a cheap microcontroler+bluetooth module. By using microcontroller Atmega128 and wifi module will do the job. but if you want using ARM cortex M4 such as ATSAM4L, I'm ready to develop it. I would suggest you to use freeRTOS so that the system is error free.
