What you are talking about here is modifying or replacing an Android NATIVE Application. Which you would replace on rooted phones? Keeping it cheap? Impossible. Or you want to create an Alarm Clock Application with an In-App buying feature (snooze button) ? Keeping it cheap? Impossible.
