Sample and Production Machinist for eco-friendly company

We are a new fashion start-up focused on making eco-friendly garments. We need talented, dynamic and creative people with a 'can do attitude’ to take a lead and join us on this exciting journey. We are seeking a highly experienced Sample and production machinist to work as part of our in-house production team. Responsibilities: Work with designers and pattern cutters on production of toile and first samples Interpreting patterns and spec sheets; reporting on pattern issues Cutting & sewing production garments Fabric cutting, labelling, pressing and steaming inserting laces and sewing with sequins, crystals and embroideries and construction of corsetry inserting linings and interlining Finishing e.g. hand sewing, using cover stitch machine Work on industrial sewing machines Requirements: Experience of at least 3-5 years as a machinist is required. Thorough knowledge of multiple sewing techniques, garment design, construction of clothes, manufacturing process and hand sewing; experience in using industrial flat- bed machines and overlockers Pattern cutting knowledge Fast sewing skills while maintaining precision, accuracy and high-quality products Exceptional organisational skills and ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines
