Hi,
Our MSSQL database has surname records so that a single record may have several names (in separate fields) associated with it:
e.g. Johnson, Johnsen, Johnsson
We would like the record owner (our customer) to go to their account (on our website), to press a 'turn Google advertising switch on' button in their account and the API would login, create a new campaign based upon the surnames (e.g. Johnson, Johnsen, Johnsson)
We would like to:
a) create Ad Groups for each record in our database. For each Ad Group, a text ad would be created which has a default script and includes a main surname within that script. This surname is different for each record. The Heading will be based upon the main surname.
e.g.
Johnson Project
Researching the Johnson
surname with Our Company
b) the keywords will include the main surname, and any other surnames associated with the account.
e.g.
Johnson,
Johnsen,
Johnsson
c) each ad would have it's own unique Destination URL based upon our domain, the main surname and a unique record code.
e.g. linked to [[login to view URL]][1]
d) the API would allow the customer to Pause or Resume the Ad Group - probably by just ticking/unticking a checkbox in their website account and then pressing submit.
e) when any new database records are created, we need to easily create additional Ad Groups for these new records.
f) allow us to adjust the global maximum CPC which would apply to any new Ad Group or when an account is updated.
f) search for 'Inactive for search - Increase quality or bid XX to activate' notes and return which Ad Groups they are in as long as this isn't classed as a 'scrape' and violates the terms and conditions
Happy bidding!
