check if a web site is working

Hey I can do this for you I specialise in python scripts and have done everything required to make this before in other projects. I can write a python script that can check the website at a specified interval and send emails out if the site is down. It will include a config file where you can specify email account details and the address of the website being checked as well as the message to send when the site is down. Hello. How do you want it to be written? As a console application with a config file or with GUI? Should it start as a service automatically or do you want it to be launched manually and click "monitor" button in order it to start working? The easiest way to do it would be to write a small php script which can be converted to windows executable. There will also be a config file with a site URL to monitor and admin email where to send a notification which should be sent only one time once the site went down. Thank you.

Hi Sir, The desktop application that you require can be created using Visual Studio IDE with a good GUI. It would be a simple application to test whether the website is hosted online. If it is not hosted, we could send a mail to the website admin. However, we will need all admin email data and a sender email account for this. We could check all the mails the application has sent.
