I'm Mira Mihajlovich, a Director of Development at ISU. I am working w/the Special Education Assistive Technology (SEAT) Center to help generate revenue. I need bids ASAP, by Friday, 12/14 midnight at the latest.
The center wants to develop the infrastructure to offer online training and products for a fee through its website. We anticipate initially offering the online training statewide, then nationwide. We'd like a three-tier system: client/presentation; application server; and database. Here's a summary.
1. Capture info about users when they register (e.g., where they're searching on the site, if they're an alum).
2. Automatic "thank you for becoming a member" message.
3. Premium membership (fee) v. general membership.
4. "Save log-in and password/remember me" option.
5. Instructions for improper entry, security question, ability to send e-mail w/log-in, password.
6. Option to sign up for newsletter.
7. Page listing products for sale on website.
8. Page listing most requested products.
9. Connection to ISU's secured payment system.
10. Upon purchase, automatic e-mail notice/thank you.
11. Tracking purchases so that we can market related products/services to users.
12. Connect user to ISU Foundation's appropriate page for online donation.
13. Connection to e-learning modules (such modules to be developed in-house).
Is there additional info you need? Please provide price breakdown, task & timeline, qualifications of staff for the project, and references, if possible. Discuss selection of platform/language (is this the right term?) e.g., Java v. .net, MySQL or PostgreSQL, etc. Include system architecture diagram. Thanks for your time and bid.
