I need a Word 2007 macro to split Word documents of a specific format into multiple PDFs based on heading style, using Adobe Acrobat 8 (with installed Word add-in).?
A sample input document is attached, and the details for splitting the document and naming the PDF files are included in the specific requirements.
## Deliverables
Attached you will find a sample document of the type that will be used as input for this macro. The instructions below will make much more sense if you are looking at this document as you read them. **Please note: t****he macro will be expected to work on any document formatted with the heading styles defined below, not just the sample document.**?
This macro will split the input document into several PDFs, editing out? some of the content in the process. The? sections that need to be made into individual PDFs are the sections beginning with the style "Heading 1"; all other sections should be ignored. Additionally, sections beginning with a Heading 1 titled "Introduction" should be ignored as well.
The beginning of a section is defined by style "Heading 1". The end of a section is defined by one of the following styles:
* Heading 1 (start of a new section)
* ChapterTitle
* Heading FBMatter
When run, the macro should? prompt the user to specify a location where the PDF files will be saved, preferably using a common dialog box.? It should name each PDF file with the text of the Heading 1 that began that section.
So, if the macro is run on the sample document, then after the process is complete, the user-selected folder should contain the following PDF files:
