Create a WordPress plugin for simple file/db-dump

Task: Develop a simple backup/dump plugin in WordPress. The backup-program does NOT need to do restores and it does not need revisions or similar. Just one current snapshop of all files and the database used. Simply, the old backup is deleted if a new backup is run. How it should work: - Menu option called "Backup WP" inside WordPress Admin-area (main menu). - Once clicked, a page is shown with a text headline, a description and two buttons: Backup and Delete. - Backup-button will generate one backup of all files into one file [login to view URL] and one dabatase-dump into a public folder (for instance /wpmove). - Once backup is complete, show the URL to this directory for easy copy of URL. The structure of the backup should be like the wp-cli backup/restore tools do (basically just keep the structure of the site. Requirements: - Program should be fairly fail-safe (robust) and be able to detect errors during backup. - If it takes a long time to do the backup, because of many files or busy server, I want it to be able to handle this as best as possible. Maybe somehow keep track of the directories already processed and continue to add additional files into the same backup when the user clicks a button named "Continue backup". This Continue backup should appear if the time limit is low and try to behave smartly if possible. - Program should be published in Official repository for WordPress (I can create account for you, but you must do the rest of the setup.) Background (just for you to know what I will do with your backup): I already have a program on another server that will grab these 2 files, process them and import them to my server (unpack and db-import). As long as you do a clean tar (or any other technologies for compressing can be accepted) and have the [login to view URL] on the same way that wp-cli import can deal with, I'm fine. I will create db-users and fix wp-files on my own using these tools I already have. I'm a skilled PHP-developer, I just don't want to use a lot of time to learn WordPress-plugin dev just for this task.
