Part Time Expert WordPress PHP Developer + team lead

We are a Mumbai, India based Agency looking for a talented web developer to create websites, landing pages and make website adjustments to existing projects with a eye for detail and creating eye catching websites that are mobile responsive and fast to load. You should possess advanced skills like Plugin / Theme Customization and for this an advanced knowledge of PHP/ CSS / JS would be essential. Tasks will also include website / code optimizations to improve load times and ensure mobile responsiveness. Your role will also monitor progress of our projects being worked on by other developers and help support existing developers (3) on the team to troubleshoot issues/ offer solutions. Requirements: - Websites to manage ( Wordpress, Shopify) - Must have a strong portfolio of work - Must have experience in implementing (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Conversion Tracking, Event Tracking) - Must be willing to follow development guidelines - Must be absolutely fluent with both spoken and written English - Must be highly capable in HTML, PHP, CSS and jQuery/ JS - Must be highly capable with Wordpress - Must be highly capable with visual / drag and drop theme editors - Must understand the purpose of child themes - Must understand the need for code sandboxing - Must have an understanding of PHP at least in a WordPress context - Must be capable of fast turnaround times - Must possess fast and reliable internet - Must work with a Project Management tool we use in-house to monitor projects - Must be willing to perform a short, unpaid skill test to verify candidacy for the position Preferred Traits: - Be highly knowledgeable about PHP, CSS, JS - Be highly knowledgeable about cPanel - Be highly knowledgeable about Shopify / Liquid - Project Management/ Team leader skills to help deliver projects on time - Attention to detail - Eye for design - Friendly professional manner; capable of liaising directly with clients and other developers on team - We are in India so someone in the same time zone or in Asia would be ideal but not essential for the right candidate. At the current moment we are looking to hire a part time (25 hours per week/ 100 hours per month) resource. We look forward to hearing from suitable candidates. Role is flexible, but a few hours daily over 5 days a week is expected. The role might expand to a full time position in the future.
