Need a Gentran expert who can assist with getting a .txt file loaded to the Gentran inbound queue and successfully process from Gentran into a physical file. (Currently encountering errors) Our EDI Framework relies heavily on customer RPG bridge programs between Gentran and JD Edwards. Changes to RPG programs will be needed for Mexico EDI implementation. " For SMP, we will utilize our VAN to translate the data from VDA to X12 so we can use Gentran. Biggest obstacle - they will not send any test data." "Need to determine if a VAN can be used. If it cannot, we will need to develop custom programming to bridge data into JD Edwards. Migrating from EDIFACT to VDA 12/31/18"

positive points - JD Edwards knowledge (Version World - Enterprise one) - A lot of experience in creating and programming interfaces mostly between JD Edwards and 3-Party software (required by all the affiliates that used JD Edwards in ESTEE Lauder) - Good knowledge of RPG (different version starting from RPG III) Negative points - Just minor experience with Gentran (only the Swiss affiliate used Gentran)
