Solving a python problem

We will look at some results from the group stage from various World Cups. In each group there are 4 national teams that play 6 matches against each other. The match results are given as a list of 4-tuples, with 2 strings and 2 int: [ ("Brazil", "Scotland", 2, 1), ("Morocco", "Norway", 2, 2), ("Scotland", "Norway", 1, 1), ("Brazil", "Morocco", 3, 0), ("Brazil", "Norway", 1, 2), ("Scotland", "Morocco", 0, 3), ] For each team we can now make a statistic with 4 numbers: GF (goals for) - the number of goals the team has scored GA (goals against) - the number of goals scored against the team GD (goal difference) - the difference between GF and GA, always equal to GF-GA PT (points) - the score: 3 points to the match winner, 1 point to each team if the match is a draw These statistics should be stored in a data structure that is a dict of dicts. For the example above, it looks like this: { 'Brazil': {'GF': 6, 'GA': 3, 'GD': 3, 'PT': 6}, 'Scotland': {'GF': 2, 'GA': 6, 'GD': -4, 'PT': 1}, 'Morocco': {'GF': 5, 'GA': 5, 'GD': 0, 'PT': 4}, 'Norway': {'GF': 5, 'GA': 4, 'GD': 1, 'PT': 5}, } Sub-task 1 (make_stats) Create a function make_stats (matches), where matches is a list of match results in the format shown above. The function should return a dict with the statistics in the mentioned dict format. There is a skeleton for make_stats () already in the file, with a small if test that checks your function Sub-task 2 (compare) Here we will sort the teams in a table for the group. Print functions etc. are already ready, the only thing missing is a compare function that determines the order of the layers. The decision is made with several rules, where we use the next one when all previous rules do not give one winner: (1) Larger score PT (2) Larger target difference DG (3) Several scored goals GF (4) The winner of the direct match between the two teams (we ignore a situation where there are more than two teams that are exactly the same when we come to this rule) (5) Drawing of lots Create a function compare (matches, data, a, b) there matches is the list of match results in the format above, data is a finished dict with statistics in the format above, a and b are two strings with the names of 2 national teams (we include data as an argument so that we can ignore the function in Part 1. We can always assume that data == make_stats (matches) The function should return the number 1 if layer a is higher in the table than layer b The function should return the number -1 if layer b is higher in the table than layer a The function should print f "LOTTERY {a} {b}" and return the number 0 if the situation is a draw between a and b
