Designing a large-scale ejabberd architecture

We have developed a mobile chat application and are inviting back-end experts to design for us a reliable ejabberd cluster/architecture. The architecture should be able to allow for easy addition of more ejabberd servers. It should be able to handle 1 million, then 10 million concurrent connections. This project will be followed by another project to actually implement the designed architecture.
