Hi! I'm a PhD student in AI, currently focused on machine learning, but I know python and scraping really well. Your project seems interesting to me, but I' wanted to warn you about one of the components you listed in the description. That's "Translate news articles to different languages". Automated translation has been improving over the years, but the technology is still not capable of delivering a universal machine translator. However, if you're satisfied with how Google Translate works, it may be possible to integrate it in your application. If that doesn't work for you and you want an in-house solution, then I'll have to warn you that you'll need a lot of data and computational power to train deep models for translation. It's important to understand that the ML solutions don't come with a 100% accuracy. Their performance depends on the data set used for their training. Since each news site has its own HTML/CSS/JS, you'd need a separate scraper for each site (although you can get the links of the articles without scraping, using only the news api once you obtain the key).
