I have been developing xBase/Clipper/FoxPro applications since the late 80's. One of my applications was for a fortune 500 company using it in 42 locations with over 2000 users.
I actually worked with the team at Fox Software which create FoxBase/Visual Foxpro, which was then acquired by Microsoft, so I have been with this platform since it was first available.
I had a project for Skyline Displays (largest manufacturer of trade show booths) where they have 42 US offices sending in their orders, changes, and other data updates. So I am very familiar with the issues surrounding using an FTP repository and files coming in, and when they come in while one is processing, as I spent many hours learning the things that could go wrong, file locks, incomplete file that you think is completed uploading, duplicates, etc.
For someone who understands the scope from real life experience, I believe that it would be quite an unexpected challenge to them, especially at this price range.
I LOVE VFP 9, I would very much like to work on this project for you.
