When I make a video, I don’t want viewers to think that it looks cool. I want them to find the content so compelling that they buy the product or use the service.
Advertising is not an art form for editors to show off flashy effects, it’s a medium for information, a message with a single purpose: to sell. Almost 99% of videos I see miss this simple objective. Why?
Because the people who made them don’t have the necessary experience and qualifications in advertising and don’t spend time on the idea behind the video.
If an ad (and let’s be honest all videos are ads) doesn’t have a good, clear simple idea behind it — then it will pass your potential consumers like a ship in the night.
• I make videos that communicate and sell. I should know how by now. I’ve created (written, directed, shot, edited or a combination thereof) literally hundreds of videos & TV commercials after running a advertising company in New Zealand for 15 years. A selection are on www.mango.shanefiler.com.
• I’m a published author (a US novel, & UK comics). So know how tell a story. Stories are powerful. Just ask Apple.
• I’ve a Degree in Marketing.
Great but how’s this help you?
Well, I offer a price-point to create something that you will be happy with, I will be happy with, & more importantly — will connect with the target market of your product or service & show tangible results to your business — it’s that simple.
