Hi John T Yutenji,
I think you expressed an interest in my project, but your details seem to have disappeared from my list of projects (possibly because the time has lapsed).
I want an example of VBA code for Outlook 2007 to show me how to do two things. I found code on the Internet that retrieves all of the items from outlook contacts (see [login to view URL] ). There's two additional things I want to know however and want example code to show me. See also, [login to view URL]
1. The first is we use a shared public folder for corporate contacts. When a content is selected the name of the user (eg john smith) that last modified it is displayed at the bottom of the window. This information must come from somewhere else other than the contact item (date modified is there but not who modified it). I want to know where the user name of who modified it is stored and example code of how to get this information.
I've progressed this a bit further since then with my own research but I'm still interested in the examples.
What I want is to use the approach set out in:
To get the bulk of the items (which I've done already and it works fine).
But then I want to add the approach used in [login to view URL]
to get the name of the person in the property "Last Modified By"
I can retrieve PR_LAST_MODIFIER_NAME MAPI property (DASL name [login to view URL]) using [login to view URL] but I want to see an example of using both approaches combined.
2. Example code on how to modify an existing contact.
For example, if the telephone number does not have an international prefix (say +44 for UK) I want to add +44 and update the contact.
I should add I can write general VBA code to manipulate strings and so on, it's just the above I want help with.
Hi,
I have read the details and want to discuss more on the same. I have done many Outlook Code as you can visit them on my Reviews page.
Thanks
